Bharat Petroleum Corporation reports net loss of Rs 8836.75 crore in Q1

Bharat Petroleum Corporation has reported results for first quarter ended June 30, 2012.

On standalone basis, the company has reported a net loss of Rs 8836.75 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2012 against net loss of Rs 2561.89 crore for the corresponding period last fiscal. However,   total income increased by 17.83% at Rs 54862.24 crore during the quarter under review from Rs 46559.58 crore for the same period last fiscal.

BPCL is into exploration, production and retailing of petroleum and petrol related products. The retail business unit of BPCL is into marketing of petrol, diesel and kerosene.
