NTPC is setting up a 25 MW floating solar power plant in its water storage reservoir at Simhadri in Visakhapatnam city in the state of Andhra Pradesh (AP). The company is also setting up a flue-gas desulphurisation plant (FGD). The company’s Simhadri had four units of 500 MWs each and the plant is operating at 70.98 plant load factor (PLF) this year as against last year's 67.2%.

NTPC is the largest power utility company in India and has presence in Coal, Gas, Solar PV, Hydro and Wind Power Generation and Coal Mining.
