Physical rubber prices sought further lows on Tuesday

Physical rubber prices declined further on Tuesday in the absence of genuine buyers. Further, inactive manufactures and selling from dealers kept the commodity under pressure. Moreover, the declines in domestic and international futures too weighed over the sentiments.

Spot prices for RSS-4 variety continued to decline to Rs 168/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 170/ kg, while RSS-5 variety closed at Rs 159/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 162/ kg.

In the futures market, the contract of RSS-4 August delivery dropped to Rs 170 compared to its previous close of Rs 172.07, while September delivery closed at Rs 163.01 compared to its previous close of Rs 163.78 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange.
