Ponni Sugars commences commercial production from Cogen plant

Ponni Sugars (Erode) has commenced the power production and feeding to grid in the new Cogen plant effectively from August 17, 2012.

The company had earlier completed the installation of its cogeneration plant at a cost of Rs 110 crore and was awaiting the consent from Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board to operate the plant.

Ponni Sugars (Erode) is an efficient and quality producer of sugar, catering to both domestic and international markets. The company is engaged in the manufacturing of sugar and it’s by products. It manufactures cane sugar, cane molasses and bagasse.
