Coal India trades in green on the BSE

Coal India is currently trading at Rs. 254.05, up by 2.20 points or 0.87% from its previous closing of Rs. 251.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 254.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 254.70 and Rs. 253.55 respectively. So far 6082 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 303.00 on 31-May-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 212.00 on 14-Feb-2019.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 254.70 and Rs. 246.60 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 155208.31 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 70.96%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 26.09% and 2.95% respectively.

Coal India will supply 530 million tonne (MT) of coal to the power sector in 2019-20, 8.6 per cent rise over the previous year. Supply to the power sector during the last year was 488 million tonne, a rise of 7.5 per cent over 2017-18.

Keeping focus on power sector, the company’s share of dispatch to power sector has increased to 80 per cent in FY19 from the level of 78 per cent during the previous two years.

Coal India is the world’s largest coal mining company. It also produces non-coking coal and coking coal of various grades for diverse applications.
