Bilcare inks definitive agreement with United Drug plc

Bilcare has signed a definitive agreement with United Drug plc, a Euro 1.7 billion revenue leading international provider of healthcare services. As per the agreement, United Drug will acquire Bilcare’s Global Clinical Supplies (GCS) businesses in the US and the UK for $61 million while Bilcare will retain its GCS business in Asia.

Besides, going forward, United Drug and Bilcare GCS Asia will work together to use their complementary resources to meet the needs of their customers across US, Europe and Asia.

The agreement is a significant win-win for Bilcare GCS’s customers and United Drug. It will allow Bilcare GCS Asia to leverage United Drug’s deep capabilities and resources in US and Europe and meet customer requirements in those regions. Further Bilcare GCS Asia will continue to build scale by being able to service the Asia specific needs of United Drug’s customers in US and Europe. Importantly, this agreement will allow Bilcare GCS Asia to focus its resources and better meet customer expectations of world-class services.
