Dr Reddy’s Lab trades higher on the bourses

Dr. Reddys Laboratories is currently trading at Rs. 2688.00, up by 99.95 points or 3.86% from its previous closing of Rs. 2588.05 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 2600.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 2696.00 and Rs. 2599.95 respectively. So far 28406 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 2965.20 on 02-May-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1888.00 on 21-May-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 2851.85 and Rs. 2544.20 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 42978.70 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 26.77%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 45.46% and 13.66% respectively.

Dr Reddy’s Laboratories is planning to spend upto $300 million on research and development (R&D) during financial year 2019-2020 (FY20). The R&D spends for the January-March quarter of FY19 is $53 million.

The company will continue to focus on R&D for some interesting pipeline of proprietary products. But, on an overall basis, the R&D spend would be lower in proprietary products when compared to previous year.
