M&M’s Auto Sector registers 15% fall in July sales

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) has reported auto sales performance for July 2019 which stood at 40,142 vehicles, compared to 47,199 vehicles during July 2018, registering a fall of 15%. The company’s domestic sales touched 37,474 vehicles during July 2019, as against 44,605 vehicles in July 2018. The Passenger Vehicles segment (which includes UVs, Cars and Vans) sold 16,831 vehicles in July 2019.

In the Commercial Vehicles segment, the company sold 15969 vehicles in July 2019, as against 19,284 vehicles in July 2018. In the Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicles segment, M&M sold 417 vehicles for the month. Exports for July 2019 stood at 2,668 vehicles.

M&M is the flagship company of the Mahindra Group, a multinational conglomerate based in Mumbai, India. Amongst the various business interests of its parent group, the company is mainly involved in the automobile manufacturing. It is one of the leading auto companies of India.
