Date: 03-09-2012Mahindra & Mahindra’s Farm Equipment Sector (FES), a part of the $15.4 billion Mahindra Group, maintained its leadership position in the tractor industry in August 2012. Total tractor sales (domestic + exports) in August 2012 stood at 13,234 units, marginally down by 17.30% as against 16,003 units for the same period last year.
The company’s domestic tractor sales in August 2012 stood at 12,394 units, as against 15,059 units during July 2011, down by 17.69% while, tractor exports for the month of August 2012 stood at 840 units.
