Larsen and Toubro Construction (L&T Construction), wholly owned subsidiary of Larsen and Toubro (L&T) has won new orders valued over Rs 1,063 crore across various business segments during the month of August 2012.
Under the Infrastructure IC, the company has secured a major order worth Rs 377 crore from Delhi Metro Rail Corporation for the construction of elevated viaduct and stations. This project is the part of phase -III of Delhi MRTS.
Under the Railways business sector, the company has secured a new order worth Rs 212 crore from Rail Vikas Nigam for doubling the lines of the Rewari - Manheru section on the Bikaner division of North Western Railway.
Under the Building & Factories IC, the company has secured orders aggregating Rs 474 crore, which includes design and construction of IT campus in the southern part of India and construction of residential towers in Mumbai. This also includes additional orders from various ongoing building projects.
