Bharti Airtel shines on unveiling ‘my airtel’ app

Bharti Airtel is currently trading at Rs. 254.15, up by 4.50 points or 1.80% from its previous closing of Rs. 249.65 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 248.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 254.80 and Rs. 247.50 respectively. So far 1, 57,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 412.25 on 16-Nov-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs. 238.50 on 30-Aug-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 254.20 and Rs. 238.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 96,514 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 68.50% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 25.28% and 6.23% respectively.

Bharti Airtel, a leading global telecommunications company, has unveiled ‘my airtel’ app which will be available at no additional cost. With the help of this app, subscribers of any operator will be able to check outstanding bills, register complaints, activate or deactivate services and make payments for Airtel services.

Besides, this app will allow Airtel customers across various services (mobile, fixed line and DTH) to check their outstanding bills, recharge their accounts and make payment among other services. Moreover without any assistance from the customer care, Airtel digital TV (DTH service) customers would also be able to order movies and games using this app.

Further, for downloading the application as well as for accessing the application, subscribers will have to pay the usual download charges depending on the data connection. However for non-Airtel internet users, there will also be one-time SMS charge for authentication to their respective telecom operators.
