-4.35 (-0.46%) Hindalco Industries is all set to invest Rs 2,000 crore this year, majority of which will go into alumina capacity expansion at Utkal Alumina refinery and the rest for working capital. The company aims to double the share of value-added products in the domestic aluminium business over the next 5-6 years with an investment of around $1 to1.2 billion in India.
Hindalco Industries is an industry leader in aluminium and copper. The company’s aluminium units across the country encompass the entire gamut of operations from bauxite mining, alumina refining, aluminium smelting to downstream rolling, extrusions, foils and alloy wheels, along with captive power plants and coal mines.
