Fire breaks out at Ptl Enterprise's Banbury unit, Kerala

Fire broke out at Ptl Enterprise’s Banbury unit at Kalamassery Plant, Kerala, outsourced to Apollo Tyres, where various raw materials are mixed together. The fire was brought under control on September 03, 2012. The exact cause of fire is still not known and is being investigated. No causalities or injuries were reported.

The company has adequate insurance coverage and has already informed the Insurance Company about the said incident. Alternative arrangements for sourcing the mixed compound have been made and normal production at the affected unit is expected to resume in the next few days.
