BHEL to hire 5,000 employees over the next five years

BHEL is planning to employ 5,000 employees over the next five years. The company will hire the same for the posts ranging from artisans to plant engineers and management executives.

At present, the total staff in the engineering major stood at 49,300, including 10,500 in Haridwar, 7,800 in Bhopal and 7,300 in Ramachandrapuram plant near Hyderabad.

In the previous five years, the PSU had recruited 15,000 personnel as it undertook a modernisation and expansion drive in three phases across its various plants in the country.
