M&M’s Auto Sector registers 21% fall in September sales

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) has reported auto sales performance for September 2019 which stood at 43343 vehicles, compared to 55022 vehicles during September 2018, registering a fall of 21%. The company’s domestic sales touched 40692 vehicles during September 2019, as against 51268 vehicles in September 2018. The Passenger Vehicles segment (which includes UVs, Cars and Vans) sold 14,333 vehicles in September 2019.

In the Commercial Vehicles segment, the company sold 18,872 vehicles in September 2019, as against 22,917 vehicles in September 2018. In the Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicles segment, M&M sold 408 vehicles for the month. Exports for September 2019 stood at 2,651 vehicles.

M&M is the flagship company of the Mahindra Group, a multinational conglomerate based in Mumbai, India. Amongst the various business interests of its parent group, the company is mainly involved in the automobile manufacturing. It is one of the leading auto companies of India.
