Date: 03-10-2019Coal India (CIL) has reported fall in its production by 23.5 percent to 30.77 million tonnes in September. The production in the same month a year ago stood at 40.25 million tonnes.
Coal offtake during September too contracted by 20 percent to 35.18 million tonnes as compared with 43.98 million tonnes in the year-ago month.
Coal India is the world’s largest coal mining company. It also produces non-coking coal and coking coal of various grades for diverse applications.
