SBI trades in green on positing in line Q1 numbers

State Bank of India (SBI) is currently trading at Rs 2206.00, up by 12.55 points or 0.57% from its previous closing of Rs 2,193.45 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 2,184.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs 2,245.00 and Rs 2,165.30 respectively. So far 535000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 3515.00 on 08-Nov-2010 and a 52 week low of Rs 2123.00 on 20-Jun-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 2,288.00 and Rs 2,149.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 1,40,080 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 59.40% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 28.33% and 9.41% respectively.

State Bank of India's net profit for the quarter ended June 30, 2011 has declined 45.66% at Rs 1583.55 crore as compared to Rs 2914.20 crore for the corresponding quarter last year. Its total income increased by 25.24% at Rs 27731.67 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 22142.08 crore for the same quarter last year.

On consolidated basis, the Group has posted a fall of 25.34% in its net profit after minority interest at Rs 2512.47 crore as compared to Rs 3365.26 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2010. Its total income has increased by 19.26% at Rs 39126.06 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 32808.06 crore for the similar quarter of the previous year
