FIIs stood as net sellers in equities on August 16, 2011: SEBI

The FIIs on Tuesday were net sellers in equities while they were net buyers in debt segments, according to data released by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).

In equity segment, the gross buying was of Rs 2380.70 crore against gross sell of Rs 2785.10 crore. Thus, FIIs stood as net sellers of Rs 404.50 crore in equities on August 16, 2011.

In the debt segment, the gross purchase was of Rs 1652.90 crore with gross sales of Rs 582.70 crore. Thus, FIIs stood as net buyers of Rs 1070.20 crore in debt on August 16, 2011.
