FIIs net sellers of Rs 307.68 crore in futures and options segments on August 16

According to the data released by NSE, the Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) were net sellers of Rs 307.68 crore in futures and options segments on Tuesday, August 16, 2011.

FII’s were buyers of index futures to the tune of Rs 799.31 crore and they sold index options worth Rs 1643.66 crore. In the stock segment, FII’s were net buyers of stock futures worth Rs 514.16 crore and they also bought stock options to the tune of Rs 22.51 crore.

Cumulative FII positions as percentage of total gross market position in the derivative segment as on August 16, 2011 is 34.90%.
