ITC inaugurates new hotel in Chennai
Date: 17-09-2012Diversified business conglomerate ITC has inaugurated its eighth hotel ITC Grand Chola. The hotel consists of 600 rooms which spread across 1.5 million sq ft at Guindy in Chennai. The ITC group has invested Rs 1,200 crore for setting up this hotel.
ITC Grand Chola is the second property for the group in Chennai after ITC Chola Sheraton which was recently renamed as ‘My Fortune’. Further, ITC Grand Chola has appointed workforce of about 4,000 people with over 1,000 people engaging in day-to-day operations.
ITC, a diversified conglomerate has business interests in cigarettes, hotels, paperboards and specialty papers, packaging, agri-business, packaged foods and confectionery, information technology, branded apparel, personal care, stationery, safety matches and other FMCG products.
