Tata Steel reports 6% rise in Q2 consolidated net profit

Tata Steel has reported results for second quarter ended September 30, 2019.

The company has reported a rise of 17.44% in its net profit at Rs 3,837.81 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 3,267.86 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company decreased by 19.82% at Rs 14,974.65 crore for Q2FY20 as compared Rs 18,677.14 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported a rise of 5.97% in its net profit at Rs 3,302.31 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 3,116.20 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company decreased by 15.74% at Rs 34,762.73 crore for Q2FY20 as compared Rs 41,257.66 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
