Wipro has become the only Indian company to be in the global Carbon Disclosure Leadership Index by commencing its Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), which represents 655 institutional investors with $78 trillion in assets, for its approach to the disclosure of climate change information.

The company is one of seven IT companies from across the world to find a place in the listing with a Score of 95 on 100. This index, a key component of CDP’s annual Global 500 report, highlights the constituent companies within the FTSE Global Equity Index Series (Global 500), which have displayed a strong approach to information disclosure regarding climate change.

The companies were scored on their climate change disclosure and high scores indicate good internal data management and understanding of climate change related issues affecting the company.
