Coal India Ltd.

The government has asked Coal India to produce at least 2 mmscmd of coal bed methane gas in the next two to three years. The coal ministry has directed the consultancy arm of Coal India to be actively involved in coal bed methane (CBM) development in state-run firm's leasehold areas.

Coal India is the world’s largest coal mining company. It also produces non-coking coal and coking coal of various grades for diverse applications.
