Wipro is currently trading at Rs. 379.35, up by 1.85 points or 0.49% from its previous closing of Rs. 377.50 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 376.70 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 382.00 and Rs. 371.75 respectively. So far 54546 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 452.50 on 17-Feb-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 324.15 on 03-Oct-2011.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 393.95 and Rs. 367.55 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 93131.80 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 78.37% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 10.06% and 9.86% respectively.
Wipro’s global information technology, consulting and outsourcing business - Wipro Technologies, has officially inaugurated its 2,000-seater delivery centre in Vishakhapatnam. The centre is currently operational with about 100 employees and the company is planning to ramp up the capacity to more than 300 over the next three months.
The company will be working closely with several universities in the region to recruit young graduates which is in line with its commitment to developing local talent.
Besides, the centre will support the company’s continued expansion in Andhra Pradesh and contribute in creating an ecosystem that further enhances local resources and skills. Wipro’s current operations are spread across multiple facilities in Hyderabad and its employee headcount in Andhra Pradesh is over 10,000.
