M&M’s auto sector registers 6% fall in January sales

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) has reported auto sales performance for January 2020 which stood at 52,546 vehicles, compared to 55,722 vehicles during January 2019, registering a fall of 6%. The company’s domestic sales touched 50,785 vehicles during January 2020, as against 52,500 vehicles in January 2019. Exports for January 2020 stood at 1761 vehicles.

In the domestic sales, the Passenger Vehicles segment (which includes UVs, Cars and Vans) sold 19,797 vehicles in January 2020. In the Commercial Vehicles segment, the company sold 22,851 vehicles in January 2020, as against 22,625 vehicles in January 2019. In the Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicles segment, Mahindra sold 471 vehicles for the month.
