M&M’s auto sector registers 42% fall in February sales

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) has reported auto sales performance for February 2020 which stood at 32,476 vehicles, compared to 56,005 vehicles during February 2019, registering a fall of 42%. The company’s domestic sales touched 30,637 vehicles during February 2020, as against 52,915 vehicles in February 2019. Exports for February 2020 stood at 1839 vehicles.  

In the domestic sales, the Passenger Vehicles segment (which includes UVs, Cars and Vans) sold 10,938 vehicles in February 2020. In the Commercial Vehicles segment, the company sold 15,856 vehicles in February 2020, as against 21,154 vehicles in February 2019. In the Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicles segment, Mahindra sold 436 vehicles for the month.    

M&M is the flagship company of the Mahindra Group, a multinational conglomerate based in Mumbai, India. Amongst the various business interests of its parent group, the company is mainly involved in the automobile manufacturing. It is one of the leading auto companies of India.
