Reliance Industries inches up as its arm acquires 100% stake in SKDS

Reliance Industries is currently trading at Rs. 1343.80, up by 4.65 points or 0.35% from its previous closing of Rs. 1339.15 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1350.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1358.35 and Rs. 1336.65 respectively. So far 12783 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1617.80 on 20-Dec-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1095.65 on 08-Aug-2019.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1368.75 and Rs. 1303.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 848923.01 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 50.03%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 38.48% and 11.49% respectively.

Reliance Industries’ subsidiary -- Reliance Retail Ventures has acquired 7,86,191 equity shares representing 100% of the equity share capital of Shri Kannan Departmental Store (SKDS) for a consideration of Rs 152.5 crore. The said investment will further strengthen the group’s retail operations and presence in the state of Tamil Nadu and will further enable retail and new commerce initiatives.
