Tata Steel has announced the results for the year ended March 31, 2011.

On standalone basis the company has posted a net profit rise of 36.04% to Rs 6865.69 crore for the year ended March 31, 2011 as compared to Rs 5046.80 crore in the previous year. Total income of the company has increased by 16.66% to Rs 30187.02 crore from Rs 25875.77 crore in the last fiscal

On consolidated basis  the Group has posted a profit after taxes, minority interest and share of profit of associates of Rs 8982.69 crore for the year ended March 31, 2011 as compared to net loss of Rs (2009.22) crore for the year ended March 31, 2010. Total income of the group has increased by 15.60% to Rs 119734.10 crore from Rs 103578.97 crore for the year ended March 31, 2010.
