National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC) has been granted ‘Mini Ratna’ Category-I Status on the basis of its performance upon fulfilling the Criteria prescribed by department of public enterprises. This will enable the company to enter into joint ventures, set subsidiary companies, overseas offices with certain conditions.

NBCC presently operates under Ministry of Urban Development and has also received ‘Excellent’ rating from the same for each of the fiscal years from 2004 to 2010. Ministry of Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises awarded the company with an ‘Excellence Award.’
