-172.45 (-1.09%) Maruti Suzuki, country’s largest car maker has reportedly opened bookings online for its eagerly awaited small car the Alto 800, with new 796cc engine. The company is going to launch its new model on October 16, which is expected to help the small car major revive falling sales. Customers can visit the official Alto 800 page and pre-book the car by paying an amount of Rs 5000. Customers will get the car delivered during the Diwali holidays.
The company will replace the existing base model Alto, which will be available for Rs 2 lakh price allowing it to compete with the Tata Nano and the Hyundai Eon. It is also expected to have a CNG option at the time of its launch.
