Tata Motors reports 3.82% decline in September sales

Tata Motors has registered a 3.82% dip in its total sales at 75,773 vehicles for the month of September 2012, against 78,783 vehicles in the same month last year. In the passenger vehicle segment, company’s domestic sales declined by 17.73% at 21,652 vehicles as against 26,319 vehicles sold in September last year. It has reported a decline of 12.48% at 5,441 export units, last month from 6,217 units in the same month last year.

The company’s sales of light commercial vehicles in September 2012 in the domestic market were 33,393 vehicles, a 18.87% growth, compared to 28,092 vehicles, sold in September last year while, sales of commercial vehicles for September 2012 were at 48,680 vehicles, higher by 5.26%, over 46,247 vehicles, sold in September last year.
