Coal India Ltd.

South Eastern Coalfields (SECL), the largest coal producing subsidiary of Coal India, has become the first coal company to produce one million tonnes (MT) of dry fuel in a single day amid the countrywide lockdown to contain coronavirus. SECL has produced record one million tonnes of coal in a single day on March 27.

Coal India is the world’s largest coal mining company. It also produces non-coking coal and coking coal of various grades for diverse applications.
