L&T gains as its arm bags contracts for buildings & factories business

Larsen & Toubro is currently trading at Rs. 927.10, up by 15.10 points or 1.66% from its previous closing of Rs. 912.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 926.45 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 940.00 and Rs. 920.00 respectively. So far 125750 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1606.70 on 28-May-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 661.05 on 25-Mar-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 940.00 and Rs. 809.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 129649.43 crore.

The Institutions holding in the company stood at 56.49% and Non-Institutions held at 43.51%.

Larsen & Toubro’s (L&T) construction arm -- L&T construction has bagged orders from prestigious clients in India for buildings & factories (B&F) business. The Factories arm of B&F business has secured a design and build order from a leading cement manufacturer to execute and commission a 9,500 TPD cement plant at Ametha, Katni, Madhya Pradesh.

The Residential arm has won an order from a reputed developer in Bengaluru to construct a residential complex with a total built up area of 5 million Sq.ft. The scope of work includes design and construction of the entire civil structure, waterproofing, masonry and plastering for 18 Towers with two Basements, and Ground plus 28/29 Floors.

The IT & Office Spaces arm has secured an order from a key government organisation to construct its Smart Data Centres at Hyderabad and Chennai with a total built up area of 2.68 lakh Sq.ft. The scope of work includes engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, operation and maintenance for both the locations.
