Reliance Industries’ (RIL) telecom arm -- Reliance Jio Infocomm (Jio) has introduced a new system to enable its subscribers to recharge the account of any customer on its network through a mobile app and also earn around 4 per cent commission. The development comes at a time when many people are unable to recharge their phones due to the lockdown.

Reliance Industries is India’s largest private sector company. The company’s activities span hydrocarbon exploration and production, petroleum refining and marketing, petrochemicals, retail and 4G digital services.
