Tata Motors declines as its Group’s global wholesales fall 35% in Q4 FY20

Tata Motors is currently trading at Rs. 75.65, down by 4.85 points or 6.02% from its previous closing of Rs. 80.50 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 78.80 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 78.80 and Rs. 75.00 respectively. So far 1263416 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 239.10 on 22-Apr-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 63.60 on 24-Mar-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 83.35 and Rs. 71.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 23429.85 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 42.39%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 33.21% and 13.70% respectively.

Tata Motors Group’s global wholesales in Q4 FY20, including Jaguar Land Rover, were at 231,929 nos., lower by 35%, as compared to Q4 FY19. Global wholesales of all Tata Motors’ commercial vehicles and Tata Daewoo range in Q4 FY20 were at 72,608 nos., lower by 49%, over Q4 FY19. Global wholesales of all passenger vehicles in Q4 FY20 were at 159,321 nos., lower by 26% as compared to Q4 FY19.

Global wholesales for Jaguar Land Rover were 126,979 vehicles (JLR number for Q4 FY20 includes CJLR volumes of 6,288 units). Jaguar wholesales for the quarter were 32,940 vehicles, while Land Rover wholesales for the quarter were 94,039 vehicles.
