-9.70 (-2.74%) Tata Motors, country’s largest automobile company, has introduced the revised version of Indica eV2. It has also reduced the prices of its entry-level car by Rs 23,000. The new car price ranges at Rs 4,01,162 in ex-showroom Delhi, for the base variant and going up to Rs 487,619 for the top-end variant. eV2 LE -base model, eV2 LS and eV2 LX top-end model, are the three variants of new car.
As per the Automotive Research Association of India, the Indica eV2 is the most fuel-efficient car in its class, with a mileage of 25 kilometre per litre. The Indica eV2 is being launched with new exteriors, refreshed interiors and additional features. It is equipped with the CR4 Common Rail Diesel engine and has a displacement of 1,396 cc. The car is also available in petrol version with an MPFI engine and both engines are compliant with BS4 emission norms.
The company has registered a 3.82% dip in its total sales at 75,773 vehicles for the month of September 2012, against 78,783 vehicles in the same month last year. In the passenger vehicle segment, company’s domestic sales declined by 17.73% at 21,652 vehicles as against 26,319 vehicles sold in September last year. It has reported a decline of 12.48% at 5,441 export units, last month from 6,217 units in the same month last year.
