Tata Power soars as its Strategic Engineering Division bags contract Rs 1200 crore

Tata Power is currently trading at Rs. 28.40, up by 1.05 points or 3.84% from its previous closing of Rs. 27.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 27.45 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 28.50 and Rs. 27.00 respectively. So far 1006559 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 74.05 on 04-Jul-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 27.00 on 11-May-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 30.95 and Rs. 27.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 7654.51 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 36.21%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 47.71% and 16.08% respectively.

Tata Power Strategic Engineering Division (Tata Power SED), a division of Tata Power Company has signed an important contract with Ministry of Defence, Government of India, for modernisation of infrastructure of 37 Airfields of Indian Airforce, Indian Navy and Indian Coast Guard. The contract needs to be executed over a period of next 4 years.

The contract, with an estimated value of about Rs 1,200 crore, involves supply, installation and commissioning of modern airfield equipment like Cat II Instrument Landing System and Cat II Airfield Lightning System along with other Navigational Aids and Air Traffic Management system besides creating the required civil and electrical Infrastructure.
