Kotak Mahindra Bank jumps on launching video-based KYC to open account remotely

Kotak Mahindra Bank is currently trading at Rs. 1158.80, up by 45.35 points or 4.07% from its previous closing of Rs. 1113.45 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1155.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1160.05 and Rs. 1125.25 respectively. So far 59982 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1739.95 on 19-Feb-2020 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1000.35 on 19-Mar-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1220.85 and Rs. 1110.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 221474.93 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 29.92%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 51.81% and 18.26% respectively.

Kotak Mahindra Bank has launched a video-based KYC that will make it easier to open an account remotely, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Customers will need to share Aadhaar and PAN numbers as part of the account opening process under the video KYC system to open the 'Kotak 811 savings account’.

The facility will be used only for the savings accounts on a pilot basis. Once a customer requests to open an account on the website, a bank executive will come on the video call with the customer and will involve the customer signing on a blank paper and the entire video will be saved by the bank.
