M&M’s auto sector registers 79% fall in May sales

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) has reported auto sales performance for May 2020 which stood at 9,560 vehicles, compared to 45,421 vehicles during May 2019, registering a fall of 79%. The company’s domestic sales stood at 9,076 vehicles during May 2020, as against 43,056 vehicles in May 2019. Exports for May 2020 stood at 484 vehicles.   

In the Passenger Vehicles segment (which includes UVs, Cars and Vans), the company sold 3,867 vehicles in May 2020, compared to 20,608 vehicles in May 2019. In the Commercial Vehicles segment, the company sold 5,170 vehicles in May 2020, as against 17,879 vehicles in May 2019. In the Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicles (MHCV) segment, the company sold 39 vehicles for the month.
