HDFC Life Insurance Company’s promoter -- Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC) has sold 2.6 crore shares of the company worth a little over Rs 1,274 crore through an open market transaction. According to bulk deal data available with the BSE, the shares were offloaded on an average price of Rs 490.22 apiece, valuing the transaction at Rs 1,274.57 crore. At the end of the March 2020 quarter, HDFC held 51.44% stake in the company.
