Coal India’s (CIL) coal supply to power sector declined 23.9 per cent to 61.84 million tonnes in the April-May period of the current financial year. The supply of coal by CIL to the power sector in April-May, 2018-19 was at 81.29 million tonnes.

Coal India is the world’s largest coal mining company. It also produces non-coking coal and coking coal of various grades for diverse applications.
