NTPC has added the 800 MW Unit-2 of Lara Super Thermal Power Project to installed capacity of the company on successful completion of trial operation. With this, the total installed capacity of NTPC and NTPC group has become 51155 MW and 62910 MW respectively. Earlier in September, the 800 MW Unit-1 of the project was made commercially operational.

NTPC is the largest power utility company in India and has presence in Coal, Gas, Solar PV, Hydro and Wind Power Generation and Coal Mining.
