ONGC jumps on raising Rs 1,000 crore via NCDs

Oil & Natural Gas Corporation is currently trading at Rs. 78.90, up by 0.45 points or 0.57% from its previous closing of Rs. 78.45 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 79.20 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 79.20 and Rs. 77.65 respectively. So far 247722 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 149.65 on 04-Nov-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 51.80 on 13-Mar-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 80.00 and Rs. 77.05  respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 98818.09 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 60.41%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 25.47% and 14.13% respectively.

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has raised Rs 1,000 crore and allotted 10,000 non-convertible debentures (NCDs) of face value of Rs 10,00,000, on a private placement basis to identified investors at the interest rate of 6.40% p.a. payable annually. The said NCDs are proposed to be listed on the wholesale debt market segment of BSE.

ONGC is India’s largest government-run corporation and produces about 70% of India’s crude oil and natural gas. The corporation is the biggest public sector commercial organization in India.
