State Bank of India gains on the BSE

State Bank of India is currently trading at Rs. 207.00, up by 0.35 points or 0.17% from its previous closing of Rs. 206.65 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 206.20 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 209.55 and Rs. 205.40 respectively. So far 2198175 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 351.00 on 28-Nov-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 149.55 on 22-May-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 232.00 and Rs. 205.40 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 184739.46 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 57.64%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 32.61% and 9.55% respectively.

In a bid to optimise its costs, State Bank of India (SBI) has planned a voluntary retirement scheme (VRS) under which about 30,190 employees are eligible. The total employee strength of country's largest lender stood at 2.49 lakh at the end of March 2020 as compared to 2.57 lakh a year ago.

SBI is the country’s largest lender and it offers a wide range of services in the Personal Banking, Agriculture/ Rural, NRI services, SME and Corporate Banking etc.
