-1.40 (-0.04%) Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M), country’s leading sport utility vehicle (SUV) manufacturer, has recorded booking of 5,000 units of compact sports utility vehicle ‘Quanto’ which was launched three weeks ago with an aim to target the prospective hatchback customers.
The SUV segment is growing at the rate of over 20% and Quanto is riding the growing demand of the same. It is priced aggressively between Rs 5.8 to Rs 8 lakh. The Quanto is designed and developed completely in-house by the company on the Ingenio platform, and is powered by a 1.5-litre mCR100 engine that puts out 100bhp.
