SBI Life Insurance, IOC and Natco Pharma to see some action today

SBI Life Insurance Company has signed bancassurance agreement with Yes Bank to offer a comprehensive bouquet of life insurance solutions to the bank's customers across the country. As part of the partnership, SBI Life's diverse range of individual and group insurance solutions will be offered to the customers of Yes Bank through the bank’s branches spread across 28 states and 8 Union Territories in India. SBI Life's extensive product portfolio coupled with the bank's digital capabilities and widespread presence will ensure easy accessibility of life insurance to the customers.

Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) is expecting petrol and diesel demand to return to pre-pandemic levels faster than previously anticipated but it is reviewing refinery expansion plans in view of permanent demand destruction in some sectors. Petrol and diesel sales have seen phenomenal improvement in the first half of September and if the trend continues demand will return to pre-COVID levels within Q2 (July-September) of FY21.

Natco Pharma is planning to diversify its product portfolio in the domestic market as it aims to make up for a drop in business of some of its prominent product categories. Its oncology segment suffered in the last financial year due to pricing controls from the government, and its Hepatitis-C business continued to decline due to reduction in market size. The company is planning for new product launches in the non-oncology segment to mitigate the impact of the Hepatitis-C market decline.

State Bank of India (SBI) has raised Rs 7,000 crore by issuing 70,000 Basel III compliant non-convertible, taxable, redeemable debt instruments in the nature of debentures to bond subscribers. The Committee of Directors for Capital Raising at its meeting of held on September 21, 2020 has accorded its approval to allot the same.

TCM has now obtained the loan license to manufacture for sale or for distribution of Class C or Class D medical device from the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (COSCO) for manufacturing SARS-COV-2 RT PCR Kits with the use of Technology licensed by IIT-Delhi on a non-exclusive basis. FITI will provide the technical support for implementation of the License.

Libas Designs has entered into a Joint Venture (JV) Agreement with Goat33, a company incorporated by Kenneth ‘Flex’ Wheeler, to manufacture, distribute and sale of custom suits designed and fitted for individuals with athletic personality. The company has entered into a five-year contract manufacturing agreement.  

Tata Motors has unveiled a new limited-period subscription offer for its electric SUV Nexon, under which a customer can lease the vehicle at an all-inclusive fixed rental of Rs 34,900 per month. The offer, which is available only for the first 100 customers and for tenures between 12 months to 24 months and 36 months, can be availed till November 30. This service is being offered in Delhi-NCR Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad and Bengaluru. Following the tenure of their subscription, customers can either choose to extend it or just return the vehicle.
