RIL edges higher on reporting in line Q2 numbers

Reliance Industries (RIL) is currently trading at Rs 827.55, up by 4.35 points or 0.53% from its previous closing of Rs 823.20 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 839.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs 840.00 and Rs 825.55 respectively. So far 227400 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 902.00 on 04-Nov-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs 671.00 on 08-May-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 829.70 and Rs 807.25 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 266359.76 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 45.15% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 28.20% and 23.32% respectively.

Mukesh Ambani owned Reliance Industries has reported in line with expectation result for the quarter ended September 30, 2012.

The company’s net profit for quarter declined by 5.74% at Rs 5376 crore as compared to Rs 5703 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The company was expected to report net profit of Rs 5370 crore for the quarter. Company’s total Income has registered 16.03% growth at Rs 92447 crore for the quarter under review against Rs 79671 crore for the similar quarter ended of previous fiscal. Further, the GRMs for the second quarter were reported at $9.2/bbl versus $7.6/bbl.
