Wipro gains on winning AMS, SIAM contract from Fortum

Wipro is currently trading at Rs. 346.65, up by 3.40 points or 0.99% from its previous closing of Rs. 343.25 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 344.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 347.00 and Rs. 342.25 respectively.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 381.70 on 13-Oct-2020 and a 52 week low of Rs. 159.60 on 19-Mar-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 366.60 and Rs. 338.75 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 196166.22 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 74.02%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 15.45% and 8.06% respectively.

Wipro has won an Application Management (AMS) and Services Integration & Management (SIAM) contract from Fortum, one of the leading clean-energy companies headquartered in Espoo, Finland.

As a part of the five-year agreement, the company will manage Fortum’s application portfolio across hundreds of applications for more than 11,500 users across 18 countries and provide 24/7 support for business-critical applications. It will leverage its Artificial Intelligence and automation platform, Wipro HOLMES to enable process automation for enhanced end-user experience. In addition, the company’s Service Integration & Management (SIAM) transformation solution will help Fortum consolidate and govern its multi-supplier eco-system.
