Tata Motors’, country’s largest automotive company, global sales declined by 4% and stood at 103,656 units in September. The global sales of all commercial vehicles, including those of Tata, Tata Daewoo and the Tata Hispano Carrocera range, was up by 3% in the month under review at 54,761 units. However, the company’s passenger vehicles sales last month were lower by 11% at 48,895 units.
The global wholesales of Tata passenger vehicles stood at 22,434 units for the month of September, down by 17%, compared to the same period last year. Also, the sales of Jaguar Land Rover brand in September 2012 stood at 26,461 units compared to September 2011, a drop by 4%.
The company’s Land Rover wholesales in September 2012 stood at 23,653 vehicles while the sales of Jaguar for the September month were at 2,808 vehicles. The company’s overall cumulative wholesales for the fiscal till now was up 8% and stood at 579,037 units compared to the corresponding period in 2011-12.
