Aditya Birla Nuvo eyeing for a turnover of Rs 750-800 crore for textile division in next 4-5 years

Diversified Aditya Birla Nuvo is expecting its textile division turnover to grow to Rs 750-800 crore in next four-five years from the present Rs 300 crore. The textiles business of Aditya Birla Nuvo which manufactures linen fabric and yarn, is operated by Jaya Shree Textiles, a wholly-owned unit of the company.

Aditya Birla Nuvo has retail stores under the brand Linen Club, which retails fabric and ready-made garments. It plans to open 14 new outlets in the current fiscal year from 46 currently and going further in the next 5 years the company plans to have 200 stores.

Further, the company is planning a promotion campaign for Linen Club and has outlined a capital expenditure of 150 million rupees for the current financial year. Aditya Birla also plans to hike linen fabric capacity by 30-40 percent over the next 2 years.
